ARBEIT MACHT FREI. If the dead could speak

Did you really think you could get away with this? The drudgery, the shame, the conditioning that had us believe so many falsehoods. Your made-up normality upset our entire identity and sense of self so that we couldn’t truly embrace who we were because we were so desperately trying to survive. A choir of screams echo and echo through generations. Do you really think our trauma died with us? The suffering we endured, forgotten as soon as the ashes and dust settled? The gaslighting, the lies, the madness of it all just buried? HA! How naive of you to think you could get away with this. And by you, I mean anyone in any position of power who gives no thought to the ordinary person. We are the women who were cast out from society when we were assaulted, the slaves, the children who died in a workhouse, the family members who had to grieve, the men who died in war and all who died by suicide because the world couldn’t be lived in. the members of society who have been either cast out or  under so much pressure to survive  we didn’t get to live. But each of us in the dead still carries that anger, and although we might not haunt you directly, we haunt our ancestors of today.  It is us who didn’t stand up to you. It is our unfinished business to resolve. It is we who live in too much fear. We passed our trauma on through the years. We screamed it, kicked it, punched it, our rage and fears took over and we passed it on like a virus. We live as  unsettled spirits inside our grandchildren's minds, haunting their very existence, sharing the beliefs we had about ourselves that we were conditioned to believe from our existences, impacting their very actions and leaving them unable to function as adults. We do this not so that they die from a life they merely tried to survive in but so that they live as we never did. We are angry, and we are pushing them. We are traumatised, and we despertely want our bloodline to live.

Do you really think the biggest killer amongst men right now is suicide because of the individual's trauma alone? We are all children haunting our bloodline with our arms wide open, begging for someone to care about us, screaming, grappling, nagging, stomping. Nobody is listening. Not even in death. COVID got your attention, but these deaths are not considered enough of a pandemic to act on. Somehow, you are still blaming us; we are still being gaslit.

We are not evil spirits. We have no intention to kill; we are fighting for a resolution and peace within us. Each individual alive today carries us. the weight of an entire bloodline. You know it today as generational trauma and each time a generation dies without resolution, it adds more weight for the next generation to carry. So no, we don’t want  more unsettled dead among us; we want to be seen and heard. Some of you will see and hear some of us in the layers of trauma you resolve and in the fractured parts you integrate. Each time you do this, you will feel the weight of an ancestor leave you as they cross over in peace. That’s all we want.

We didn’t want this. But please know that when the crossover happens, we become an element, an atom, God, and the universe, and an expansion happens within an interconnectedness. We see you, and in this space, there is nothing but love. You are infinitely connected to this space, and we become the angels that guide you.
